i’ll keep in succinct: i (24F) been seeing this guy (29M) for the past 4 months. everything is great, he REALLY likes me, had invested a lot of time , energy, money, into the relationship but unfortunately, he’s avoidant. has a hard time letting me in because he’s been very hurt in the past (i feel like everyone is nowadays) but he recognizes it and tries really hard to open up, and he has!! he thanks me for having patience, it’s just “really hard” for him, which i completely empathize with!

i think he has commitment issues , he has a very hard time making us official. although we are seeing each other exclusively , i can see he is very hesitant to make us official even though we’ve lived a lot of experiences together; we’ve traveled together already, been together for days on end, etc… nonetheless he is crazy about me, it’s very evident.

i lean anxiously attached which is so annoying but am slowly become securely attached. i’m having fun getting to know him and having a “slow burn” relationship. but honestly it just feels stagnant.

i know he cares and is trying his very best but do i really want to get into a relationship with someone who’s avoidant? i don’t know :/
